Getting Emotional

This paper aims to demonstrate the fecundity of pairing specific insights from On Certainty with research in philosophy and history natural sciences. To do so, it discusses one set related themes work that focus on possibility nature revolutionary change. Specifically, I argue several Wittgenstein’s rather gnomic remarks presage van Fraassen’s insistence need for decisions emotions throughout scientific revolutions.
